ladypeculiar, who posts to explain just why we should enable a conspiracy to throw her out of an airplane:
"Greetings to you all.
For the third year in a row, I'm taking part in an incredible national fundraiser-- the Operation Freefall: The Two-Mile High Stand Against Sexual Assault® to raise money for SPEAKING OUT ABOUT RAPE, INC.® (SOAR®). This organization funnels money to both national and local programs that assist the victims of sexual assault-- many of which have personally helped women I know and love. Last year, Opertation Freefall raised over $76,000 and benefitted SOAR® , YWCA of Central Michigan, The Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, Bolton Refuge House, The Rape Crisis Center of Catawba County, Transitions of Susquehanna Valley, Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention Team of Michigan State, and more.
It will also result in me getting thrown out of a perfectly good airplane (in that at the culmination of the fundraising, we all go skydiving!). Everybody wins! This organization is incredibly dear to my heart, and I hope you will consider making a donation. Your support over the past two years has been invaluable.
